My pictures with lighthouses are all illustrations to the Lighthouse Encyclopaedia. They are small sized, but there are so many of them... In the book, readers will find reproductions; meanwhile original paintings will live a life of their own and will be exhibited.
The first exhibition demonstrated that the topic was of interest to romantics, to people who are passionate about farology, nautology, marinistics, architecture, history, science...
I hope this exhibition, which today is called 600 Lighthouses in the Baltics (Kaliningrad area, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, 16th-19th century) will attract visitors in more than one region. I have never seen anything like that, and of this scale. This is a unique project in the world history of farology.
I dream about creating a Lighthouse Museum in Lithuania. Who knows, perhaps this exhibition will become a Museum's permanent exhibition.
The first exhibition was held in April 2010 in Palanga.
The second was a part of the Klaipėda Sea Festival’s program in July-August 2010. If you are interested in this exhibition, please contact us.
